Collaborative Designworks is a nationally recognized architecture firm known for creating stunning, award-winning residential and commercial projects. At Collaborative Designworks, we believe that the process of design requires a collaborative framework that enables us to translate the specific needs of our clients into successful projects. Our goal is to create engaging environments tailored to the user, and we achieve this through our full architectural services, which include graphics, interiors, planning, and construction management.

Our Team

Our team is led by James M. Evans, AIA, a nationally recognized architect with numerous awards and honors to his name. Alexis Franco, a talented designer, is also an integral part of our team. Together, we strive to create innovative design solutions that exceed our clients' expectations. Our passion for design and attention to detail is evident in our work, from the initial concept to the final construction.

Awards and Honors

Collaborative Designworks has received numerous awards and honors for our work, including the 2023 PaperCity Houston Design Awards for the Riverside Lake House, the 2023 National AIA Young Architect Award for James M. Evans, AIA, the 2012 Decorative Center, Star on the Rise, the 2012 TSA Young Professional Achievement Award, and the 2010 AIA Houston Young Architect Award, among others. Our work has also been featured in various publications, including the Texas Architect Magazine, Residential Architect Magazine, Design Bureau Magazine, and Houston Chronicle.

Services

At Collaborative Designworks, we offer full architectural services for both Residential and Commercial projects, as well as graphics, interiors, planning, and construction management. We specialize in sustainable design, custom homes, office, M.O.B., retail, and restaurant design. Our custom millwork and fixture and finishes design services allow us to create a cohesive and well-designed space from the ground up.

Our residential services include the design and construction of custom homes tailored to the specific needs and lifestyles of our clients. We work closely with our clients to understand their vision and goals, and we use our expertise and creativity to bring that vision to life. Our commercial services include the design of office, M.O.B., retail, and restaurant spaces that are functional, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing.

We are committed to sustainable design and incorporate green building practices into our projects whenever possible. Our sustainable design services include energy-efficient design, the use of sustainable materials, and the incorporation of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power. Our goal is to create sustainable, environmentally-friendly spaces that are also comfortable and functional for our clients.

In addition to our design services, we also offer interior design services that include custom millwork, fixture and finishes design, and furniture selection. We believe that the interior design of a space is just as important as the architecture, and we strive to create a cohesive and well-designed space from the ground up.
