WMATA Services
We have provided architectural design and construction administration for escalator well way canopies throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority system. Our prototypical canopy design is a graceful stainless steel and glass structure that provides an instantly recognizable entry to the Metrorail system and complements the elegance of the original Metrorail system.
Educational Services
We have provided architectural and planning services for educational clients, including the design and construction of a new Main Quadrangle at the George Washington University, renovation of the I Street Mall, new ADA access facilities at the Law School, and renovation of the Applied Science and Engineering Building Lobby and Dean's Offices.
Residential Services
Lourie Architects LLC has completed over 40 custom residential projects in the Washington Metropolitan Area, ranging from major additions to targeted renovations that transform the look and livability of existing houses. Our work creates detailed, dynamic spaces that respect Washington's traditional housing stock.

About Us
Our team is led by Jon M. Lourie, AIA LEED AP, who has over 25 years of experience in the architecture and design industry. Prior to forming Lourie Architects LLC, Jon worked for several prominent Washington, DC-based architecture firms and was also a main campus planner at Georgetown University.
