Notable Projects

One of our recent projects is a modern home in Greenwich, Connecticut for empty-nesters. The clients wanted to transform their 1960s ranch into a light-filled, efficient home where they could retire and enjoy the wooded and rocky landscape. We worked closely with the couple to develop a design solution that is simple, elegant, and modern, with floor to ceiling glazing along the rear. The use of overhangs and clerestories helped to ensure that spaces throughout the home would be light-filled and comfortable, and the home ultimately earned LEED certification.

Another notable project is a modern home in Newport, Rhode Island for a world class sailing champion and his family. The home was designed to integrate with the natural surroundings of the waterfront property and reflect the character of the historic district. The marine landscape is a feature throughout the home, with one hundred eighty degree views of the ocean from the top floors. We also implemented ecological sensitivity and stewardship measures, including the use of native and non-invasive plant species and bird-friendly glazing.
