At Modern Style Construction, we are not just a remodeling company, we are a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the Washington D.C. metropolitan area for over 15 years. Our story began with a family's dream to create a better life for themselves, and has since grown into a reputable and respected design-build remodeling company.

Our Family Story

My name is Sergei Tsoy, and my family's journey in the United States began in 1999. My parents, Igor and Alexandra, along with my sister Marina and I, left Kazakhstan with just $1,500 to our name, hoping to start a new life in America. We had to work hard to make ends meet, with my mother finding work in a restaurant and my father as a painter. Despite the challenges, my parents instilled in us the value of hard work, resourcefulness, and persistence.

In 2004, my father's back injury led to the establishment of Modern Style Construction LLC. His injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as he discovered his passion for remodeling and his innovative flair. I was fortunate to be old enough to help my father during those long 12-16 hour days, learning the importance of discipline, honesty, and taking action.

Our company grew steadily, developing a reputation for providing the highest level of service, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are proud of our family values, which include:
