Lakeland Builders Associates

Since its founding in 1979, the Lakeland Builders Association (LBA) has been dedicated to serving the home building and construction industry in and around the Lake Geneva area of Walworth County, Wisconsin. As a not-for-profit, professional trade organization, we are committed to promoting the interests of our members and advocating for the rights of homeowners and homebuilders.

Our Mission

As a professional trade association, we are part of the Wisconsin Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. Our mission is to be the voice of the building and construction industry, safeguard affordable housing, and promote industry opportunities, careers, and training. We strive to keep our members up-to-date on the latest building innovations and trends, and provide opportunities for professional development and leadership.

Our Members

Our members are involved in construction, development, remodeling, and related services. They are a trusted resource for consumers seeking professional guidance and expertise in home building and improvement. Our members believe in professional development and staying current on the latest building innovations and trends. We have over 100 members, including builders, contractors, suppliers, and associates, who are committed to their business and their community.

Community Care

At the Lakeland Builders Association, we believe in giving back to the community. Through our Community Care Fund, we have made a difference by supporting local charities and community projects. We have been involved in projects at S.M.I.L.E.S. in Darien, the Geneva Lake Museum in Lake Geneva, the City of Elkhorn, and special causes for individuals. We continue to be part of multiple efforts to support local organizations and individuals in need.

Spare Parts Garage

We are excited to launch our Spare Parts Garage initiative, where we collect and sell donated construction materials and other products to raise non-dues revenue. We are looking for donations of unwanted or left-over products from our members and other businesses. If you have unused materials or products, please consider donating them to the Spare Parts Garage. You will receive a letter for tax purposes and will be notified when the items are sold.

About the Board

Our board of directors is comprised of dedicated professionals in the home building and construction industry. They are committed to their business, their community, and the LBA. The current president is Mike Davis of Davis Landscape & Construction, and the treasurer is Beth Wydra of Johnson Financial Group. The board consists of representatives from various companies and professionals in the industry.

Education and Training

We offer a range of educational and training opportunities for our members and the community. These include courses on construction management, sales, marketing, and leadership. We also provide opportunities for professional development and networking.

Community Events

We host a range of community events throughout the year, including our annual golf outing and fall career development event for students. We also participate in local charity events and fundraisers.
