About Design Services

KMA now has expanded capacity to provide a full scope of traditional architectural design services. Our team of experienced architects and designers can handle every aspect of the design process, from initial concept development to final construction documentation. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and goals, and we strive to create designs that are not only accessible, but also functional, beautiful, and sustainable.

About Compliance

KMA works with developers and architects to confirm which accessible design and construction requirements apply to their projects, and then provides plan review and construction site visits to ensure full compliance in the completed project. We have extensive experience with local, state, and federal accessibility requirements, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Housing Act (FHA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

In existing facilities, such as colleges, hospitals, housing and commercial campuses, KMA works with senior management to develop compliance plans that can be implemented thoughtfully over time. Our process includes an assessment of facilities and policies, as well as input from community members, and produces phased compliance plans that reduce the risk of litigation and enhance accessibility.
