The Boston Society of Architects is a non-profit membership organization committed to improving the quality of life for Boston-area residents by championing innovation in the built environment with an emphasis on equity and sustainability. Our mission is to enable architects to excel in their profession by offering education and networking opportunities, and advocating for the profession at local, state, and national levels. We also catalyze and collaborate on innovation initiatives aimed at addressing equity and sustainability challenges in the built environment.
Our Vision
Our vision is to solve critical equity and sustainability challenges related to the built environment. We aim to realize this vision by activating our network of architects, engineers, developers, policymakers, community members, and new partners to work together to design and test solutions to today's most demanding problems. Our goal is to lift these solutions up as models that can be adopted locally, nationally, and internationally.

Community Impact

Our Community + Collaborative Design (C+CD) program seeks member collaborators to advance our mission of improving lives through innovative, community-centered design. We also provide resources for homeowners, including a project handbook and architecture cruises.

We believe that equity, diversity, and inclusion are fundamental to our values. Our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Network is a place for individuals in the design industry to engage in meaningful conversations, support, promote, and build awareness around issues of EDI within the profession.
