About the Builder

Jon Kwiatkowski, the founder of High Life Building Company Inc., began his contracting career in 1996 in the high alpine environment of Summit County, Colorado. He moved to New Hampshire in 2007 to build for family and has been a full-time resident since 2012. Jon prioritizes structural integrity in every project and is also a licensed septic systems installer. He believes in providing value to his clients by offering them more than what they pay for, ensuring peace of mind throughout the construction process.

Communication and Estimating

At High Life Building Company Inc., we value open communication with our clients. We use Requests for Information (RFI's) to record decisions made during the building process, ensuring that everyone is on the same page. For long-distance clients, we send periodic photo emails to keep them updated on the project's progress.

Our estimating process involves two parts: the Preliminary Estimate and the Proposal. The Preliminary Estimate is a free estimate based on progress plans and may have a 10% range of variability. The Proposal, on the other hand, is the actual working budget for your project, put together using final building plans, detailed takeoffs, and actual subcontractor bids. There is a 1% fee associated with the Proposal, which is reimbursed by being applied to the first draw for payment after a build contract is signed.
