Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is centered around creating and renovating buildings that cater to our clients' unique needs while respecting the site's constraints and surrounding context. We believe that every design should be practical, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Our designs are deeply rooted in historical references and built with modern construction practices in mind. Residential Services

We offer a wide range of services for residential projects, from small renovations to new constructions of large homes. We are committed to devoting the necessary attention to each project, regardless of size, to achieve maximum beauty, detail, and client satisfaction.

Commercial Services

We have the collective experience of numerous years of completing commercial work for developers, private entities, and corporate headquarters. P H Architects bring the breath of that experience to our firm's commercial work. We find that our commercial work is enhanced by also providing quality residential work.

Interior Design

P H Architects offers interior design services for our residential projects to continue the exterior design into the interior of the home. We also offer commercial interior design services, including tenant fit-up of interiors for a variety of clients, from law offices to medical research companies.

Master Planning

P H Architects offers master planning services for coordinated development of large parcels of land. We guide the master plans through the various regulatory approvals and public hearings processes. We have worked on master plans of properties and continued architectural design services for the individual buildings from inception through completion.

Our Founding Partner

Peter Paulos Jr., AIA, is a founding partner of P H Architects. He started his architectural career in Salt Lake City, where he developed his passion for the profession. In 2002, he moved East to Connecticut, not only to pursue his line of work, but to support his wife's equestrian career. Peter strives for diversity with project typologies and locations. This rich diversity of building types includes residential, both single and multi-family, mixed-use commercial buildings, fitness centers, clubhouses, and equestrian facilities. Furthermore, he has helped develop an exceptional service to our clients through all phases of design and construction by having his hand in every project.

Mr. Paulos holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, School of Architecture, and a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan. He is also a David Linton Memorial Scholarship recipient from the General Fraternity of Beta Theta Pi and an Ian Sundly Memorial Scholarship recipient from the University of Michigan. He has been certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Furthermore, he is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is licensed in the state of Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Utah, Idaho, and Arizona.
