We are a third generation excavating contractor, locally owned and operated, serving the Darke County and surrounding areas for over seventy years. Founded in the 1930's by R.S. Hollinger and his wife Isabelle, the company was originally called Hollinger Gravel & Sand. Dipping gravel from the pasture behind his home, R.S. (or "Bill" as he was known to his friends), would deliver gravel and sand in the back of his Ford Model T dump truck. This piece of our history is still owned by the family to this day.
