Our journey began when Stanley C. Kennedy founded Kennedy Decorating and Cleaning in 1950. Initially, the company focused on providing janitorial services to downtown Portland businesses. However, when Kennedy was approached by an insurance agent to handle a small fire cleanup job in 1964, he recognized the potential to transition the business towards property damage restoration.
As the company expanded, Kennedy introduced Kennedy Construction in the late 1950s, which allowed us to tackle more complex structural repairs. After the Columbus Day Storm of 1962, Kennedy Construction received a massive volume of work, laying the foundation for Kennedy Restoration.
