Our founder, Matthew, has been a solar advocate ever since his first solar job installing solar water heating systems in 2001. After 5 years of selling and designing solar electric systems for some of the biggest solar companies in the country, Matthew realized that no single company can best meet the needs of every unique household. He started IndieSolar to provide our clients with a better range of options so we can always provide the best solution no matter the needs of our customers. IndieSolar doesn't promote the products from just one solar provider. We examine a variety of available solar options to ensure our customers receive the best solution to help them meet their goals.

• What about warranties? All major panel manufacturers provide a 25-year power guarantee. Labor warranties vary from one installer to the next, but all of our systems come with a 25-year labor warranty. Inverter warranties range from 10-25 years, but all of our customers get a 25-year warranty.
• Will my solar panels still power my house when the grid goes down? The only way to have power during a utility power outage is to have both solar and a battery system.
