Award-Winning Design

Over the years, McInturff Architects has been the recipient of more than 320 design awards, a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence. These accolades include three AIA Institute Honor Awards, two for Interior Architecture and one for Urban Design. Our projects have been frequently published in local, national, and international publications, and are the subject of three monographs by the Images Publishing Group of Australia.

Leadership

Mark McInturff, FAIA, the founder of McInturff Architects, is a native of Washington DC and a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Architecture. He has taught at the University of Maryland and the Catholic University of America, and was elevated to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in 2000. Chris Boyd, AIA, Principal, has been with the firm since 2000 and is developing a new regional emphasis on projects on the Eastern Shore and Atlantic Coast. Colleen Gove Healey, AIA, Principal, has been with the firm since 2006 and directs both residential and commercial projects. Julia Heine, Principal, has been with the firm since its founding in 1986 and handles our interior design projects, and all photography and media relations. Peter Noonan AIA, LEED BD+C, Principal, directs both residential and public projects. David Mogensen AIA, LEED AP, Principal, directs both residential and commercial projects. Jeff McInturff, Project designer, does all of our model making and publication renderings in addition to directing both residential and commercial projects.
