Our Mission

The Blue Ridge Home Builders Association (BRHBA) exists to serve as the advocate and resource for the area home building industry. We work collaboratively to promote and strengthen our community while fostering a vibrant and sustainable construction landscape.

Who We Are

Founded in 1964, BRHBA unites the builder/developer with allied trade industries, businesses, and professions invested in the local building industry. We are a federation of local home building associations affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Home Builders Association of Virginia (HBAV).

What We Do

Our dedicated team and passionate members work on various initiatives to:

• Promote and advocate for the building industry: We are your voice in local, state, and federal government, advocating for policies that support our industry and foster growth.

• Connect and support our members: We provide a platform for networking, referrals, and professional development opportunities to our members.

• Empower our community: We support community development through partnerships with organizations like the Albemarle Housing Improvement Program (AHIP) and the Yellow Door Foundation.

• Promote industry best practices: We prioritize education and workforce development through programs like our Apprenticeship Program and partnerships with local organizations.

• Celebrate local construction: We organize events like the annual Parade of Homes to showcase the exceptional work of local builders and subcontractors.
