At Bero Architecture, we are a dedicated team of designers and historians committed to conscientiously improving upon and documenting the built environment through our technical expertise and collaboration with our clients and the broader community. For over 45 years, we have been passionate about preserving and protecting our cultural heritage by providing high-quality architecture, preservation planning, building evaluation, and interior design services.

Our History

Our story began in 1976, when our founder, John Bero, had a vision to carefully rehabilitate buildings through an in-depth understanding of their historical context and physical evolution. Since then, we have expanded and carried on John's original vision, fostering decades-long relationships with clients, community organizations, and colleagues to ensure meaningful and lasting stewardship of our community's collective history.

• Architecture: We provide expert design services for new buildings, renovations, and historic restorations, combining our knowledge of historical architecture with modern design principles.
• Preservation Planning: Our team of historians and architects work closely with clients to develop comprehensive preservation plans that balance the need to preserve historical resources with the need to adapt to changing requirements.
• Building Evaluation: Our experienced professionals assess the condition and integrity of buildings, identifying areas of need and developing plans for rehabilitation and repair.
• Interior Design: We offer bespoke interior design services that complement our architecture and preservation planning services, ensuring that our clients' spaces are functional, beautiful, and respectful of the historic character of the building.
