The Town Carpenter has a rich history that spans over two decades. Established in January 1999, the company was founded by Gary P. Luke, a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for carpentry and woodworking. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, Gary brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the company. His vision was to create a business that would provide exceptional quality and customer service to the people of Atlanta and beyond.

Our History

Gary's journey in the carpentry industry began with his apprenticeship in the construction firm of Boran, Craig & Schreck of Naples, Florida, where he earned his Journeyman Carpenter Certification in 1979. He then moved to Georgia and worked with John Wieland Homes, an award-winning homebuilder in the southeastern United States. During his time at Wieland, Gary established and managed a division of the company known as Servicecraft, which handled finish carpentry and specialty design items. He was also instrumental in the creation of an in-house cabinetry division that provided cabinetry and built-ins for over 500 homes a year.
