At McDonough Architecture, we are a small design-oriented firm dedicated to creating holistic and practical sustainable designs that seamlessly integrate into their surroundings. With a diverse portfolio of projects throughout western North Carolina and the upstate of South Carolina, we have established ourselves as a leader in the architecture industry.

We are students of Building Science, blending high-performance thermal envelopes with timeless design that responds to regional climate challenges. Our approach is collaborative, and we value the unique goals and challenges of each project and client, seeking the best finished project, regardless of scale, type, and budget.
Services
Our services are diverse and tailored to meet the needs of our clients. We offer custom home design, multi-family design, healthcare design, retail design, bed and breakfast design, clubhouse design, and office design. We also assist in the planning of mixed-use communities, including road and lot layout, design guidelines, entrance features, and overall architectural character. Additionally, we provide construction management services through our partners, Camp Branch Construction and Contecture, and facilitate small development and construction projects.
