Over the years, he passed down much of his knowledge of the industry and strong character traits to his son Bill Nelson.

In 1983, Bill Nelson partnered with Will Bennett of The Lighting Agency, and together created The Lighting Agency Norwest. Will brought with him his knowledge and experience in the distribution sector of the electrical industry to combine with Bill's extensive sales experience in the lighting and electrical industry. Bill Nelson has been the sole proprietor of The Lighting Agency Norwest since 1987, when Will decided to return to his roots in lighting showrooms.
