At Brechbill & Helman Construction Company, Inc., we have been serving the construction industry for over five decades. Our company was founded by Darrell Brechbill and John Helman in 1966, and since then, we have grown to become a respected regional general contractor, construction manager, and design-build firm.

Our History

In the early years, our company began with small residential construction projects, employing just three employees. Over the years, our founders, Darrell and John, built a strong team and established themselves within the construction field. As the company grew, we expanded our market sectors to include commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and hospitality projects, and extended our services beyond the Pennsylvania border to neighboring states, including West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Our Values

At Brechbill & Helman, we hold ourselves to high standards and strive to live up to our reputation for honesty, integrity, and fairness. Our founders, Darrell and John, modeled these attributes in their everyday lives, leading by example and serving as role models for their employees and other organizations. In 1999, we entered into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), passing on 100% of the company to our employees, and we also provide profit sharing through an approved 401K plan.
