At Dunlap Construction, we're a family-operated business that has been dedicated to building custom homes for over 43 years. Our founder, Carl H. Dunlap, a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens Trade School (now Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology), started our company in 1979. We cater to the desires and dreams of homeowners, focusing on remodeling, additions, and building showcase homes. Our reputation in the local community is strong and well known for quality, integrity, and craftsmanship.

As a fully insured company, we work with some of the finest subcontractors in south central Pennsylvania. Our company is an incorporated partnership and is owned and operated by Carl, his wife Peggy, and their two sons. We are committed to honoring our customers through attention to detail and good communication.

New Construction

Whether your dream is to build a custom home on a bare lot or add to an existing dwelling or office, new construction projects require someone to walk with you through the process. Our goal is to see what you are envisioning and then bring it into a physical reality. During the construction, we strive to keep your existing space functioning for you in a safe and reasonable manner. New projects are always exciting to start and finish, and it's our goal to lower the complications and stress on you during all the "in-betweens."

Remodeling

Remodeling is an art in itself and is largely a journey of troubleshooting as well as building. We believe we have proven ourselves a loyal breed of builders to our clients, and they have rewarded us as repeat customers. Dunlap Construction has done a number of remodel/ restoration projects in the 18th and 19th century era buildings. Some remodeling jobs are extensive, from limestone to "standing seam, " or layer/applied trim work and reclaimed hardwood flooring. Our finish carpenters are qualified craftsmen and each carry decades of experience.

In more common and practical remodeling, we bring life to outdated bathrooms, kitchens, and "man-caving" basements. The list is as endless as one's imagination: sunrooms, outdoor kitchens, decks, garages, gazebos, patios, storage buildings, concrete sidewalks, and the list goes on.

Estimates

Dunlap Construction offers to its clients a hassle-free estimate process. Bring your dreams and ideas to the table, and we will assist you in a functional layout and design. We can also guide you into the capable hands of trusted engineers, architects, or draftsmen who can help answer questions and bring more clarity. Once we are able to finalize your vision and are ready to bring it to "blue print" form, a draftsman's fee will be incurred by the client.
