Our Services

We offer a full scope of architectural services, from minor renovations to major remodels. Our comprehensive approach includes:

Phase I: Schematic Design

• Develop the design program and scope of work
• Research city requirements to ensure compliance
• Perform a site survey of the existing residence
• Produce drawings of the existing site plan, floor plans, elevations, and roof plan
• Develop schematic drawings based on the scope of work
• Assemble a consultant team, including contractors, structural engineers, energy consultants, grader, etc.
• Arrange for required surveys, such as archaeological and site surveys

Phase II: Design Development

• Produce finalized drawings: site plan, floor plans, roof plan, and elevations
• Select exterior finishes and colors
• Submit drawings for approval by the Architectural Review Board, if required
• Appear for city hearings as required
• Submit drawings to contractors for preliminary bids

Phase III: Construction Documents

• Incorporate any Architectural Review Board approval conditions into the drawings
• Coordinate and integrate consultant team input
• Finalize construction documents

Our Expertise

With over 30 years of experience, our founder, Emma, has a deep understanding of the importance of efficient flowing floor plans, dynamic spaces, and striking exteriors. Her background in interior design and architecture allows her to understand the requirements for furnishings, activities, the use of space, and environmental architectural qualities.

As a licensed architect and certified with NCIDQ and LEED AP, Emma is well-equipped to handle projects of all sizes and complexities. Her extensive experience includes hospitality design with two of the foremost international hotel design firms in Los Angeles, and her projects have included some of the most prestigious properties in the world.

Our Community

Emma is committed to giving back to her community, serving on numerous committees of the Chamber of Commerce, the Monterey County Hospitality Association, and the Pacific Coast Church. She has also been involved in arranging various fundraising events for a variety of charities.
