Transforming windows, transforming homes, one cleaning at a time
Founded in 1994, The Green Project has been cultivating a culture of creative reuse in New Orleans. We achieve this by diverting usable materials from landfills and educating the community about the importance of preserving resources.
Salvations '24
Our flagship program, Salvations '24, promotes the reuse of materials by offering a safe and affordable way for residents to dispose of usable paint. Diverting paint from landfills not only protects local ecosystems but also saves residents money.
Get Involved
There are numerous ways to get involved with The Green Project. Volunteer your time at our salvage store, where you can help sort and organize materials. You can also join our environmental education program to learn more about sustainable practices and the importance of resource conservation.
Resources
As a non-profit organization, The Green Project relies on the generosity of our community for funding and resources. We welcome donations of gently used materials and provide recycling guides to help residents properly dispose of various items.
