Serving Boston's South Shore, Shoreline Builders has been building on the South Shore for over two decades. We are a family-owned design-build residential construction company, led by builder Jim Wolffer, specializing in custom homes and large-scale additions & renovations. Our high standard of quality and customer service are what set us apart. Whether we are constructing a new custom home or renovating a 150-year-old antique, our commitment to building the best home possible remains constant. We utilize our craftsmanship and unerring eye for quality, along with our deep knowledge and experience in building science and construction techniques, to create a superior, durable, and comfortable home.

Our design-build approach provides our clients with a single source of accountability, ensuring that their vision is realized from start to finish. We start by listening, learning, and prioritizing our client's goals and translate them into a design that fulfills their unique requirements and expectations. Our process encompasses the planning, permitting, and construction phase, where we are organized, hands-on, and in-the-field to handle every detail from obtaining surveys, permitting, and site planning, breaking ground through to final project completion.

Jim Wolffer, our leader, has worked in the residential and commercial construction industry since 1981, representing over forty years of experience with residential remodeling, commercial construction, historic renovation, and new home construction projects. Jim is a hands-on participant in every single project performed by Shoreline Builders, setting the standard for quality and service. Judy Wolffer, responsible for office operations, bookkeeping, client billing, and reporting, has been an integral part of the company since its inception. Taylor Wolffer, a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor, is the latest addition to the management team, bringing a new level of expertise and enthusiasm to the company.

Our Services

Shoreline Builders offers architectural design services through experienced, registered architects for custom homes, large-scale renovations, and additions. We have a well-established design-build process that takes our homeowners from initial design concepts through detailed construction drawings and project construction. We help our homeowners evaluate design options and material selections and the impact they have on project construction and project budget. When the desired design is achieved, we then manage construction pre-planning, project budgeting, permitting activities, subcontractor, vendor, and project scheduling to prepare for the construction phase.
