Building a Stronger New Hampshire, One Home at a Time.

The New Hampshire Home Builders Association (NHHBA) is a trade association that represents residential building, remodeling, and development interests in New Hampshire. Established in 1952, NHHBA advocates for all housing-related issues, aiming to provide high-quality, energy-efficient, and affordable home ownership for Granite State citizens. Our members are the most professional and technically knowledgeable suppliers of building-related services to the buying public, thanks to our strong advocacy and professional development opportunities. With a combined membership of nearly six hundred companies, employing over 30,000 New Hampshire citizens, every aspect of the building industry is represented in the Association. NHHBA is comprised of six "Local" associations located strategically throughout New Hampshire and is an affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Washington, DC.

Mission Statement and Vision

Our mission is to provide quality housing opportunities through education, vision, and advocacy for the betterment of our communities. NHHBA strives to be an influential and financially strong association with an active and loyal membership base. Our vision is to be the organization of choice for builders, remodelers, and those who work within and support the housing industry. We aim to foster a culture of education, inclusion, and effectiveness in legislation while offering value to each and every member and their membership dollars. Customer service and value-added is at the core of everything we do. Our team works hard every day to grow our membership and ensure members get the maximum value for their membership (ROI).

Membership and Benefits

As the largest home building association north of Boston, we proudly serve over 400 members, representing over 36,000 people working in the residential construction trades. The NHHBA Board of Directors has set forth a mandate of creating a culture of education, inclusion, effectiveness in legislation, and providing value to each and every member and their membership dollars. We focus on customer service, ensuring members receive the best value and return on investment (ROI) for their membership. Networking is also an essential part of our association, as it provides an opportunity for members to meet, build relationships, and do business with each other on both a local and statewide level.

Advocacy and Local Associations

The NHHBA is dedicated to advocating for issues such as workforce development, affordable housing, and supply chain challenges. Our association invests significant time and energy in advocating for the home building industry and regularly brings influential elected officials so that members can tell them face-to-face about challenges the industry faces and the best ways to address them.

At the state level, NHHBA has a lot to offer, but each of the local chapters represents different areas of the state. Each local association has its own leadership team, focusing on developing and enriching the home building industry in its area. NHHBA and its local associations are all affiliates of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), a trade association that helps promote the policies that make housing a national priority.
