Greetings from all of us at PortSide Builders! We are a full-service custom home builder and remodeler with a rich history spanning over 40 years. Our story began in 1977 when PortSide Properties, Inc. opened its first facility in Sturgeon Bay, with the mission of providing the Door County community with creative, individualized home designs, quality construction, and unparalleled customer service. Today, we are proud to extend our services throughout Northeast Wisconsin, encompassing the northern tip of Door County, Brown County, the Fox Cities, and the Oshkosh area.

About Our Company

Founded by Fran Shefchik, PortSide Builders has consistently emphasized three core principles: Customer Focus, Respect, and Teamwork. Our vision has always been to provide the utmost in quality and ongoing customer service, working tirelessly towards creating Customers for Life. As our customers' needs evolved, so did we. In 1989, we expanded our portfolio to include remodeling services in Door County, and by 1994, we had extended our services to the Oshkosh area. Our growth continued with the opening of our new offices in the Sturgeon Bay Industrial Park in 2001 and the construction of a similar facility in Neenah in 2005. In 2005, PortSide Properties, Inc. officially became PortSide Builders, Inc., better reflecting our comprehensive range of services.

In 2005, another significant milestone was reached when our founders, Fran Shefchik and Bob Stoehr, converted their ownership into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), empowering our employees with pride of ownership and a shared stake in the company's success. This move further strengthened our commitment to upholding our core values and delivering exceptional results for our customers.
