International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 229 serves as York Pennsylvania's leading labor organization dedicated to the advancement of the electrical construction industry. Our mission is deeply rooted in the International Organizing Statement: to unite all workers in the electrical industry- across public and manufacturing sectors-into local unions spanning the United States and Canada. This commitment to organizing empowers every member to actively participate in building a stronger labor movement.
