Our Story

Dykstra Excavating has been in business for over sixty years, starting with a single bulldozer and dump truck investment by Jack Dykstra Sr. Today, the company employs over 30 people, along with an array of experienced subcontractors. With a fleet of over 50 pieces of grading and earthmoving equipment, our crews can take a job from rough grading to finished and packed, ready for paving. We utilize the latest technology, including computer, sonar, laser, and GPS-guided grading equipment to ensure that each project is completed correctly the first time.

• Jack (Ray) Dykstra II: Vice President, 34 years of experience, Bachelor's degree in Management, Certified Storm Water Operator, and Certified IOSHA 10.
• James Dykstra: Vice President, 37 years of experience, CPR and First Aid trained, Confined Space Trained, Qualified Person Trained for Trench Excavation, Forklift Traffic Regulator, and CDL certified.
