Our History

CMZ Construction, Inc. was founded with the principles of being fair, honest, transparent, and professional. Our goal is "Customer First". You would think that I should not have to say that, but it has become all too common not only in the construction industry, but across the board. We want to change that. I have a simple mantra, "If I wouldn't want it done on my own house or job. Then I wouldn't do it on someone else's job." Everybody can understand the Golden Rule even though they may not practice it. We are looking to build strong, healthy relationships with homeowners, developers, and trades professionals alike.

Licensed and insured, I struck out on my own in 1990. Through good and bad times, I never lose focus on the customer and the job at hand. I get a certain satisfaction when I rise above the challenges and twists that pop out from around the corner of every job. It keeps one sharp. Even more, it also allows me to savor those jobs that run smooth as butter. I have since incorporated in 2020, taking on larger projects. But I have not lost sight of how I got here. The small jobs are the bread and butter. Others may not want to change a light fixture or garbage disposal because the profit is not there, I welcome small jobs. You would be surprised by the call backs and large jobs that have come from 100% satisfaction, a shake of a hand and a smile on my face after helping a homeowner with a small job.
