Studio m Architecture + Design, LLC was founded in 2013 by Tim McLain Jr., AIA, NCARB, with a mission to make high-quality architectural and interior design services more accessible. Studio m offers a comprehensive range of services, from small-scale renovations and additions to large, complex design projects. We believe that every client deserves personalized attention and a design that reflects their unique vision and needs.

Experience and Expertise

Tim McLain Jr. brings over two decades of experience to Studio m, having graduated in 2002 with both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Interior Design. His professional journey began early through The University of Cincinnati's co-op program, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience working with a diverse range of firms, from small boutique practices in New York City to mid-size firms in Chicago and large multi-office firms in Santa Monica. This exposure to different scales and styles of projects has given Tim a broad understanding of the architectural and design process.

Tim's portfolio reflects a wide variety of project types, including single-family homes, commercial fit-out services, office buildings, academic spaces, and more. He has honed his skills in all facets of design, from conceptualization and planning to construction documentation and project management.
