At Mid-Illinois Companies, we take pride in being a privately owned commercial construction and maintenance service company that has been serving the Peoria, Illinois area since 1970. Our company was founded by entrepreneur Dan Higdon and has since experienced dramatic growth while maintaining the highest quality work and commitment to community involvement that built our reputation in Central Illinois.

Our History

Mid-Illinois Companies, Corp. was founded by Dan Higdon in 1970. As the company grew, it expanded its operations and moved to its current location at 905 N.E. Adams St. in Peoria, IL in 1979. In 2013, we opened our second office in Springfield, IL. Our continued growth and industry experience have allowed us to build a reputation for dependability and quality.

• Aaron Roy, Carpenter and Foreman, has over 22 years of experience in the industry and has worked on numerous notable projects.
• Jami Higdon, Bookkeeper and Director, brings a deep understanding of the company's history and mission to her role.
• Chris Lewis, Estimator and Project Manager, has over 20 years of experience in the industry.
• Paul Scholl, Estimator and Project Manager, has over 20 years of experience in the industry.
• Deb, with over 35 years of experience in commercial construction, estimating, and project management, is a key member of our team.
