Our Story
Our journey began in 1981 as Nude Oak Furniture, selling a mix of finished and unfinished furniture. As the unfinished business declined in popularity, we transitioned to Oakwood Furniture in 1997. However, we soon realized that many of the solid wood, American-made companies were sourcing their products overseas, forcing us to adapt. In 2008, we discovered Amish manufacturers in Ohio and Indiana, and our business took a dramatic turn. We drastically expanded our selection of Amish manufacturers, offering impeccable quality and huge selections at reasonable prices. Today, over 86% of our sales come from 75 Amish manufacturers, leading us to rename our store Amish Home Furnishings in 2012.

We stand behind all manufacturer warranties with a one-year parts and labor warranty, and some of our vendors offer longer warranties that cover manufacturer defects for up to a lifetime. Additionally, we offer the Guardsman Furniture Protection Plan, which provides supplemental insurance for 5 years from the time of purchase.
