Our Story

Our company was founded by the late Tom Dikeman in 1975. Under the leadership of next-generation family members Kevin Dikeman, President, and Tony Genovese, Vice President, Door Specialties' expertise has expanded beyond doors, frames, and hardware to Section 10 materials as well. Our team of 30 employees is dedicated to working closely with customers to ensure their unique requirements are met in a timely and budget-friendly manner.

As President of Door Specialties Inc., Kevin Dikeman has over 35 years of experience in the door and hardware industry. As Vice President of Door Specialties Inc., Tony Genovese has over 30 years of experience in the door and hardware industry. Together, they empower their employees to go above and beyond to maintain our reputation as a market leader and to ensure that Door Specialties Inc. provides the best product and service to our customers.

• In-House Fabrication: Our in-house fabrication of hollow metal frames offers ultimate control of the final product and delivery timeline.
• Pre-Installation: Our certified technicians pre-install all of your door, frame, and hardware needs to ensure proper installation of your door hardware prior to it arriving on site.
• Field Services: We provide expert field services, including welding of hollow metal frames, preparation, modification, and machining of finished hardware for wood and hollow metal doors.
• Consulting Services: Our consulting services help you make informed decisions about your project, from design to installation.
