A Brief History

Our journey began in 1990 when John Yakich and Robert Sanderson recognized the need for a semi-custom product that could be mass-produced to keep prices competitive. They established Candlelight Cabinetry, bringing together innovative production techniques and high-quality craftsmanship. Over the years, we have grown from a small operation to a large-scale manufacturer, employing over 230 people and producing over 200 cabinets daily.

Tree Planting Program

At Candlelight Cabinetry, we are committed to supporting the environment. For every cabinetry sale, we donate trees to national forests using a portion of the proceeds. Our Tree Planting Program has contributed over 50,000 trees to the environment on behalf of our customers since 1990.

We offer a wide range of select hardwoods to suit every style and preference. Our selection includes:

Cherry: Known as the cabinet maker's wood, cherry is a traditional American favorite. Its beauty and practicality ensure that it will be valued for years to come.

Hickory: If you are looking for rustic, durable cabinetry, consider Candlelight's hickory wood. The extreme color variations and interesting grain patterns give hickory its unique rustic look.

Quarter-sawn White Oak: This wood is renowned for its distinctive grain pattern and superior structural qualities.

Maple: Our hard maple is graded to the level of "select" and features a delicate grain pattern that blends well with all decorating motifs.

Select Red Birch: This wood is selected only from the golden brown heartwood of the birch tree, offering uniquely beautiful and interesting cabinetry.

Select Red Oak: One of America's most plentiful and popular hardwoods, red oak is strong, versatile, and can be used to accent any decor.

Rustic Cherry: This wood reveals another dimension to the elegant grain patterns and sophisticated look of cherry.

Rustic Hickory: Hickory is well-suited for rustic decor styles due to its grain patterns. Our Rustic-grade Hickory offers greater variation and contrast in wood grains.

Walnut: Our Walnut is steamed to blend lighter sapwood with deeper heartwood, featuring a high contrast of brown and purplish undertones.
