Our History

At Norway Builders, Inc., we take pride in our rich history of delivering exceptional construction services to the Twin Cities area. Our journey began over 26 years ago, when our founder, Ross Tretsven, started his career in construction as an 18-year-old apprentice carpenter. After working full-time for two years, Ross pursued higher education, earning a four-year degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.

With a strong foundation in carpentry and business acumen, Ross went on to build his own house and cabin, honing his skills as a carpenter and entrepreneur. In 1988, he started Tretsven Construction, subcontracting carpentry work, framing, and finishing. This experience laid the groundwork for his next venture.

In 1992, Ross incorporated Norway Builders, Inc., shifting his focus to general contracting. Over the years, our company has grown, solidifying our reputation for excellence in design, construction, and customer service. Our team's commitment to delivering top-notch projects has earned us a vast network of repeat clients and referrals.
