For over 65 years, the New Mexico Home Builders Association (NMHBA) has been the voice of the home building industry in New Mexico. As a trade association, we are dedicated to improving conditions in the construction industry, thereby providing the citizens of New Mexico with safe, quality housing. Homeownership is the cornerstone of family security, stability, and prosperity. It strengthens our communities, encourages civic responsibility, and provides a solid foundation from which New Mexicans can work to support their families, enhance their communities, and achieve their personal goals.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote and protect the interests of our members, while working to ensure that homeowners in New Mexico have access to safe, comfortable, and affordable housing. We believe that homeownership is a fundamental right, and we are committed to advocating for policies and practices that support this goal.

Our Services

NMHBA offers a range of services to its members, including:

Education and Training: We provide ongoing education and training opportunities for our members, helping them to stay up-to-date on the latest building codes, regulations, and best practices.
Government Affairs: We work closely with state and federal governments to advocate for policies and laws that support the home building industry.
Industry Information: We provide information and resources on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices, helping our members to stay informed and competitive.
Networking: We offer opportunities for our members to connect with each other, share knowledge and resources, and build relationships that can benefit their businesses.

Consumer Information

We also provide consumer information on a variety of topics, including selecting a production builder, finding a contractor, and understanding building codes and regulations. Our goal is to empower homebuyers and homeowners with the information they need to make informed decisions about their homes.

Our Membership

NMHBA has over 1,900 members, including builders, contractors, suppliers, and industry professionals. Our members are located throughout New Mexico, from Albuquerque to Las Cruces, and from Taos to Carlsbad.
