The Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties (HBADOC) is a dedicated membership organization that supports the residential building industry. Our primary objective is to promote the American dream of homeownership through education, advocacy, and professional development. Mission Statement & History

Our mission statement is clear: "The HBA of Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties promotes the American dream of home ownership through education, advocacy, and professional development." This commitment has been at the heart of our organization since we were chartered in 1962 as a non-profit trade association affiliated with the North Carolina Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.

Over the years, we have grown and expanded our services to meet the evolving needs of our members and the community. In 2005, we incorporated the Chatham Homebuilders, Inc., and became the HBADOC, representing Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties. Our goal remains unchanged: to provide resources and education to our members that encourages business confidence and professionalism, to advocate on behalf of the building industry, to participate in and support quality in our communities through active community service, and to advocate concern for the environment while supporting growth and development.
