At RENERGY SOLAR, LLC, we are a Boerne-based company that serves residential, ranch, and commercial clients in the central and south Texas hill country. Our company was founded in August 2016 as a spin-off of Williamson Roofing & Gutters, which is also a Boerne-based company.

Our ownership/management, Gary and Jackie Gonzales, are committed to providing top-notch solar system installation services to our clients. With over 29 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, Gary has earned the following degrees/certification: Bachelor of Science (BS), Biology, St. Mary's University, San Antonio, TX; Master of Science (MS), Biology, St. Mary's University, San Antonio, TX; Master of Business Administration (MBA), University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TX; and NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) Board Certification.

Vince, our co-founder, has also been in the biotechnology industry for over 18 years, earning the following degrees/certification: Bachelor of Arts (BA), Biology, St. Mary's University, San Antonio, TX; Master of Science (MS), Health Research, Texas State University, San Marcos, TX; Master of Business Administration (MBA), St. Edward's University, Austin, TX; Project Management Professional Certification, Project Management Institute; and NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) Board Certification.

As the only individuals in Boerne and Hill Country who have earned NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) Board Certification, we guarantee that our clients receive the highest level of expertise and service in solar system installation. The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is the most respected, well-established, and widely recognized certification organization for professionals in the field of renewable energy.

Designation as a NABCEP PV Installation Professional is widely recognized to be the most important and meaningful certification of its kind in the solar industry. To earn their NABCEP certification, Gary and Vince were required to first document relevant education and experience related to solar system installation. Then they passed a rigorous exam that covers the breadth of the multi-craft knowledge, skills, and abilities required to competently design, install, and maintain solar systems.

The exam assesses knowledge on subjects as diverse as electrical and mechanical system design, job site safety, the National Electrical Code, roofing and construction techniques, and system maintenance and troubleshooting. Since 2007, NABCEP's PV Installation Professional Certification has met the vigorous standards for accreditation under the ISO/IEC 17024:2012 General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of Persons. The ANAB/ANSI symbol signals to employers and the public that the PVIP Certified Professional has undergone a valid, fair and reliable assessment to verify their skills and competencies to practice https://www.nabcep.org.
