Our Story

LCS Landscaping, LLC has a rich history that dates back to 2007 when our company was founded. Our journey began with a small business called Lawncare by Shep, which was started by Shep while he was studying full-time at Thomas Nelson Community College. During this time, Shep juggled a full course load and started a business, all while pursuing his associate degree in Business.

Fast forward to 2011, Grant obtained a dual degree in Natural Resource Conservation and Mathematics from Virginia Tech. He began working as a Utility Forester, managing tree trimming crews along overhead utility rights-of-way. In 2013, Grant brought his experience of managing multiple crews back to Lawncare by Shep, partnering to create what is now LCS Landscaping, LLC.

In 2014, we changed our name to LCS Landscaping, LLC to reflect our growth and to clearly identify ourselves in a highly competitive industry.

Mulch Sales & Installation

We offer a range of mulch products for sale and installation, including high-quality dyed hardwood mulch and pine straw mulch. We buy our mulch in bulk directly from the manufacturer, which allows us to offer our mulch at a lower price.

Landscape Management

Our experienced team can provide full-service landscape management for your property. We can handle everything from lawn care to landscaping and maintenance, ensuring your property looks its best.
