Founded during the challenging era of the Great Depression by Louis Nussbickel, the business started modestly, operating out of a small shed in Fishkill, New York. Under the original name "Lou's New and Used, " the company started as a second-hand retail venture. Louis' vision quickly expanded, recognizing the growing need for reliable plumbing and heating supplies in the upstate New York market.

In 1946, the business formally incorporated as N&S Supply, signifying the coming together of Nussbickel & Sons. This marked the beginning of a remarkable journey of growth and expansion, solidifying N&S Supply's position as a trusted name in the industry. Driven by a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, the company strategically expanded its reach, establishing multiple locations across the Hudson Valley and venturing into Southeastern Connecticut.
