The Plumbing Authority

I called The Plumbing Authority to help with the water pressure in my house. Jake D came out and reviewed my situation and walked me through his findings. He walked me to the problem areas of my house. He gave me a few options and I was able to pick the one I was most comfortable with. They started the process right then. My water issue was fixed and I am good to go. Thanks to Jake D (in the field) and Nancy who set up my appointment and confirmed the night before. I highly recommend The Plumbing Authority.

Jake was great, very informative and willing to explain what he was seeing. He demonstrated a great knowledge of what he was doing. I had 2 toilets that were poorly installed by a home builder that were wobbly, Jake’s words were “Luckily you called us in time” couldn’t agree more Jake. Thanks!

I have been trying everything to unclog a bathtub drain that refused to clear. This bathtub hadn't been used in several years and we had decided to update all the fixtures and put it back into use. Once we did we learned the drain was highly clogged. No water draining even after 24 hours. I tried every drain-cleaning product out there. I even tried air pressure. No luck. I called them for their $93 challenge where they unclog it or it is free. I wasn't that optimistic and thought they would be unable to clear it and give me a proposal for extensive work. The technician Jake Newman showed up. He was punctual, professional, and friendly. He explained how he would attempt several ways to clear the drain. He explained that about 70% of the bathtub drains can be unclogged with the $93 challenge. So I let him go at it. Within 20 minutes he had it cleared and draining beautifully. I wish I would have called them before buying all those do-it-yourself products. I will, without a doubt, reach out to this company again. Very pleased.

Jake installed a new commode for us. Before we decided on that he gave us other options. He explained the pros and cons of each. He was very thorough in advising us of everything he was going to do before he did it and explained to us what he had done. I will ask for Jake for any future plumbing needs.

I had a small issue this time and I was so happy to see Jake again. I learn something about my house every time he’s here.
Before leaving he asked if anything else needed attention and as a matter of fact I recalled a a mysterious noise coming from my irrigation equipment. He looked at it, diagnosed the problem and in 5 minutes the noise was gone!

Steven was professional, courteous and was able to complete the job within the estimate. He had been to our home before and was kind enough to follow up and ask if we were having any trouble with it. TPA has become my first call when I have issues precisely because I received this kind of service on each call. From dispatch to service, it's smooth and when I've compared pricing, it's pretty competitive. I highly recommend TPA.

Ray and Brian did a great job placing our sewer line, grinder and pump. After the electricity is hooked up we look forward to it's use. Mikael was very pleasant answering my questions. This is our second time using Plumbing Authority. We would recommend.

We had a great experience with The Plumbing Authority. Jake came out on a Thursday to assess an issue we had with our hot water; he was able to resolve the problem and gave us all the options (necessary, better, best) to move forward without pressure and within our budget. By Monday, Rio and Jason installed a new water heater and water softening system! They all did great work!

Recently had a tankless water heater installed. Today had an extra water line installed. I cannot say enough about the entire group of people that I have worked with (Steve, Rio, Jake & Marc). They have all been true professionals (straight forward and honest). I would absolutely recommend them.

Steve Owens performed water heater maintenance for me.
He observed significant flaws in my kitchen and bathroom plumbing that is concerning. He gave me different quotes for the different options in upgrading my plumbing to avoid serious issues. Steve explained each option thoroughly. I was glad to be able to make this decision before it became an emergency.

I heard about The Plumbing Authority on the radio and finally called about a clogged drain, waiting to hear the catch to the advertised deal. Turns out, there was no catch. I called in the morning, had an appointment that day, and once Jake Decker got to my home he had the clogged drain taken care of in no time. Jake was also very informative about services the company provides. I would recommend them.

Jake D does great work. He arrived on time with a call before to let us know he was on the way. He explained each thing he was doing and what the expected results would be. Very professional and pleasant to talk to.

Jake came on Monday and planned the job. Ray, and Josh came on Tuesday started the job and they were super fantastic. Came back on Wednesday with Marc and finished the job. All three were very pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend each one for doing an outstanding job.

Steve was vey nice and professional. He explained why my toilet was clogging up more . It is old and will need to be replaced soon so he sent several detailed estimates. He made sure I didn’t have any questions before he left. Couldn’t ask for better service!

Excellent company! Jake N. was very kind and took his time explaining everything he was inspecting/repairing. He descaled my tankless water heater, performed a thorough review of my pipes, and cleaned out a drain that is used by four girls(the biggest hairball I have ever seen). Marc did an excellent job hooking up the hosing to our newly installed water filtration system. He also explained in detail how to operate the bypass and replace the filters. Job well done.

When turning on my water we heard a dreadful piercing squeal. I assumed it was my tankless water heater since that was the general area of the sound and it had been 9 years since heater installation. Mikhail Lynch came out to assess and determined it was the pressure reducing valve and not the heater. We scheduled a replacement appointment and Jake Decker came out to perform the work. Jake was AWESOME! He was extremely professional and prompt and explained every step of every action he was taking. There was nothing that was a “surprise!” We signed up for the membership and he walked through the house checking every water connection. Overall between the two visits, Plumbing Authority has become my go to experts. I trust my largest asset (my home) to them completely. Each visit was ended with a suggested area to watch and written estimates for different services. I can’t say enough good things. If you need plumbing work or are considering getting estimates… you MUST include and consider Plumbing Authority!

They did our work quickly and well! The workers were courteous and patient with our vocal pups. I won't hesitate to use them for all of our plumbing needs, and I recommend them to you as well!

Mark was extremely helpful answering our questions and patiently explaining the problem leak. He fixed the leak with minimal damage to walls and ceiling and even provided the name of a competent contractor so we were able to finish the project with little stress. They were super honest and had the best estimate after several other company's had looked at my plumbing issues. They were totally professional and did not leave a mess after digging and repair some major pipes. There was an issue after the major repairs were completed with a different set of pipes. They returned immediately fixed the problem and cleaned the mess up. I would recommend them to fix any plumbing issues you have big or small.

Steve was very good at explaining and diagnosing my plumbing issue. He found and cleared any clogs and suggested improvements. Not sure why he suggested replacing the pressure reduction valve without testing it first, but otherwise did a.good job.

Just had a nice gentleman come and present me with a quote to complete a few small projects I need done. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He arrived exactly on time and was very thorough. Jake has done various jobs for us through the year. Today's services was to do the dishwasher. He travels an hour and a half to get to me. He is professional and knowledgeable willing to answer questions. He explains things very clearly so you get what is going on with your plumbing. From propane line replacements, to complete plumbing line replacements. Maintaining our tankless and water treatment tanks. I am a forever client. Staff is great as well when I call. Really wonderful experience with Mark at The Plumbing Authority! Had a fairly complicated (to me anyway) basement plumbing reroute as part of a remodel. Mark was patient, knowledgeable, and extremely proficient. He quickly assessed, came up with solutions, and made sure they would work with the remodel saving me time and frustration while also keeping the cost reasonable. A pipe under the sink started leaking Christmas morning and we had to shut off the water to the home to prevent the kitchen from flooding. Jake N fixed this for us the next day- he was efficient and explained all of our options. Great job !

Marc came from The Plumbing Authority to replace a blue hose on my tankless hot water heater. The hose was too short, but the guy did a fantastic job 👏 and replaced the hose.

Susan and Nance have a lot of responsibility to keep these boys straight. They work in the office. Hard job.

If you don't call The Plumbing Authority, then you are in trouble. Plumbing Authority is a very honest plumbing company out there. Differently the best in East Tennessee.

Jake installed an outdoor spigot for us and capped the gas line to our stove so that we could install an induction range. He was friendly and so courteous; he kept our home clean and was careful about shutting doors behind him (we have an indoor cat, so this matters to me). The Plumbing Authority is easy to schedule with and efficient.

I was very pleased with everything that Jake did but I was disappointed in the amount of subfloor that was taken out and replaced. The quote made by Makhail was supposed to have a carpenter included to replace the subfloor that was damaged. Jake said that he was only supposed to replace enough to replace the toilet and that the tile people might need to do more. Fix it for good! This was not done, in fact Makhail told me that the carpenter (sub contractor) would make the project seamless for the tile to be installed. Only one person showed up and he did what he was told to do. That’s all for now 🤔

I would give Jake 10 stars. This was my best experience ever. He was respectful and explained everything. Fixed the fireplace and installed bidet. Never been happier. The staff that answered the call also were polite and very professional. Thanks for all of your help. You will always be the ones I call and will recommend you to others.
