The owner and son were prompt; they assessed the area and moved a couple of things that I myself could not. They were hard-working and thorough completing the 10 year old "oatmeal" wall to wall carpeting in no time. Believe that I was ASTONISHED to see how well the carpet responded to their shared efforts! And to think, not 6 months ago, I was not only agitating for recarpeting the downstairs, I had visited a nearby rug gallery where I had done business before. Without any reservation, I would highly recommend them-- and BTW, they were so REASONABLE in price. truly.

South Shore Chem dry is simply the best service and value on the South Shore! They have been doing such a fantastic job on my commercial carpet at work that I had to hire SSCD to clean my rugs at home as well. Below is the review I left a couple of years ago, but South Shore Chem Dry just keeps getting better and better! Brian and Dave came yesterday and cleaned two couches, two club chairs, a braided kitchen rug and a wall-to-wall in my family room. It's all done impeccably and without any undue disruption. They kept going right through a tornado warning!

Everything was so fresh and clean. Plus, I had some adhesive residue from a carpet label on one of my rugs, and Dave got a special solvent and brush and - VOILA - like new! These are the best people ever. Kelly and Karen do the admin and scheduling. Thank goodness, Kelly called me the day before with a reminder, because I had placed the WRONG date on my calendar. I am very pleased with my experience with SSCD. I had many questions prior to scheduling the appointment and Dave was patient and took his time to provide details about the cleaning methods. Scheduling was easy and he and Brian were on time and very thorough while cleaning three area rugs, a sofa, and love seat. We are so impressed with the quality of the cleaning. We had a very badly stained wall to wall carpeting that now looks amazing and a couch we were ready to get rid of that now looks almost new. They were so responsive and came right on time. Not only was the service terrific but it was great to connect with a truly family run business. From my first call to the office, to the van driving away with a wave, the service was exceptional all around. Previous tenants had never cleaned them. Thought we would have to replace but now look fantastic. Dave is very knowledgeable, neat and clean. Going to have him come back first of the year for top floor and upholstery cleaning. David and Justin were so friendly and even got here early! My carpets look brand new but they didnt leave before explaining the dry time and the wear patterns of a carpet! Dave was absolutely awesome! He just left my house and my carpets and my couch look almost brand new! He helped with my dog's accidents and did an amazing job with that as well. South Shore Chem-Dry does fantastic work! They are always quick to schedule when I call and get out the worst of stains. Last time they came we had recently painted a room and got paint in a spot on brand new carpet. They got it out no problem. He even left us a bottle of magic spot removal which has been awesome for a house with 2 little kids and a dog. We love them and use them every year!

I have been using South Shore Chem-Dry for 5 Years. We have extensive allergies and also have a Labrador Retriever. Dave and Karen are an absolute pleasure to do business with. My entire home, except the kitchen and baths, has wall-to-wall carpet. The carpeting is only a year old but in order to maintain the manufacturers warranty, the carpets need to be professionally cleaned once a year. Dave came out to do the estimate and answered all my questions. He gave me honest responses and at no point did a high pressure sales pitch.

He arrived to do the job on-time and kindly worked around my curious dog and skittish cat. Dave uses chemical-free cleaning products which was my number one requirement. I also had my sofa cleaned and it looked brand new after Dave finished it. I would highly recommend South Shore Chem-Dry and will look forward to having Dave back next year!
