Our Story
Anil Kakar, the founder and lead designer, grew up in Michigan and completed his BA at Michigan State University. After working for an international design firm in Chicago, Anil moved to Miami, where he completed his MBA at the University of Miami and worked as a banker and wealth advisor for major banks. However, his passion for design and creating something unique led him to form B11 Design in 2010, and eventually, Kakar House of Design, the retail store, opened its doors in Miami in 2012.
