Our History
Guthmann Construction was founded in 1992 by Rich Guthmann, who acquired his General Contractors license and established the company. Over the years, the business has evolved into a successful design-build firm, renovating homes in prominent neighborhoods such as Myers Park, Foxcroft, Dilworth, Montibello, Providence Country Club, and Piper Glen. In 2015, Rich Guthmann announced a gradual transfer of ownership to Production Manager Rick Haase and Architect Tony Gray, who assumed leadership of the company in 2018, marking a new chapter in the company's history.

Our Team
Our leadership team is comprised of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional results. Tony Gray, our company President, is a registered Architect in North and South Carolina with over 30 years of experience. Rick Haase, our Vice-President and Production Manager, is a licensed General Contractor with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in construction. Our Design & Development team, led by Ricky Long, Lori McIntyre, and Tammy Purvis, works closely with clients to bring their design vision to life. Meanwhile, our Project Development team, comprising Garry Johnson, Steve McElroy, and Gretchen Pfeiffer, oversees the coordination and execution of our projects. Our Office Manager, Daniel Arrowood, ensures the smooth operation of our office, while our Project Managers, Jonathan Mitchell and Mark Krawchuk, work closely with clients to deliver exceptional results.
