Our Story

At BCDM Architects, we believe that the environments we create have the power to shape the people we are and the things we achieve. For over 40 years, our studio has been dedicated to designing spaces that inspire, educate, and uplift. We are proud to have worked with a wide range of clients, from educational institutions to religious communities, to create environments that bring people together and foster growth.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create environments that form people. We believe that the buildings we design should reflect the values and principles of the communities we serve. Our team of 28 design professionals, including architects and interior designers, are committed to creating spaces that are not only beautiful and functional but also serve the greater good.

Our leadership team, led by Principals Bob Mabrey, Jim Dennell, Kevin Strehle, Pat Carson, Charlsi Kratina, Greg Stieren, Jamie Wietfeld, and Matthew Erion, brings decades of experience and expertise to every project we undertake.

Our History

BCDM Architects has a rich history that dates back to 1976 when Golden Zenon and Dave Beringer founded Zenon Beringer & Associates (ZBA). Over the years, our firm has evolved through mergers and acquisitions, with the current iteration being the result of the combination of ZBA, Ciaccio Design Group (CDG), and ZBM. Today, we continue to grow and evolve, always staying true to our core values and commitment to creating environments that form people.
