Our Journey
Our story begins with our founder, Ruhina Surendran, who has been passionate about gardening and design since she was six years old. Her experience in gardening and design started with helping her family with their vegetable garden, and she has continued to nurture her passion throughout her life. After studying Landscape Architecture and City & Regional Planning in graduate school, Ruhina gained valuable experience working at renowned firms in India and the United States. Her experience in the design world has given her a unique understanding of what makes a space functional, beautiful, and sustainable.
Our Process
At DesignIntent, we believe that the design process should be collaborative, iterative, and comprehensive. We take the time to listen to our clients' goals, challenges, and vision, and work closely with them to create a design that meets their needs. Our multi-pronged approach involves a series of sketches, diagrams, 3D models, and image boards to bring our clients' ideas to life.
