Welcome to Dean Snyder Construction, a family-owned construction company with a rich history dating back to 1958. Our story began when our founder, Dean Snyder, discovered his passion for building something from nothing in high school shop class. Little did he know that this hobby would lead him to start his own construction company in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Our History

Dean Snyder Construction was born out of Dean's experience working for various contractors in his early twenties, where he honed his skills in residential construction. After three years on the West Coast, Dean and his wife, Joanne, returned to Clear Lake, and Dean Snyder Construction was established. Using the slogan "The Dean of Builders, " Dean built a reputation for quality and dedication to his craft.

As the company grew, so did our services. In the 1970s, we expanded our focus from solely residential construction to include commercial, industrial, and food processing projects. This diversification allowed us to adapt to the changing needs of our clients and the industry.
