Chimney Inspections
Capitol Chimney conducts thorough chimney inspections following CSIA standards to identify safety hazards and structural issues. Our Level 1-3 inspections detect creosote buildup, wildlife intrusions, and water damage while ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. Technicians use advanced diagnostic tools to assess flue integrity and recommend preventive maintenance, protecting homes from carbon monoxide leaks and fire risks.
Chimney Cleaning
Our professional chimney cleaning removes dangerous creosote deposits and animal nests using industrial HEPA vacuums and rotary brushes. The process includes fireplace debris removal, damper inspection, and mortar joint checks. Regular cleanings prevent chimney fires, improve indoor air quality, and maintain optimal drafting efficiency for wood-burning and gas systems.
Chimney Repairs
We specialize in masonry restoration, crown repairs, and flue liner installations for chimneys damaged by weather or wear. Services include repointing brickwork, replacing corroded metal components, and installing waterproofing systems. Our technicians address leaks, cracked crowns, and damaged flashing while matching original materials for seamless results.
Fireplace Services
Capitol Chimney offers comprehensive fireplace care including damper replacement, refractory panel upgrades, and gas log installations. We repair masonry fireboxes, install safety doors, and service both traditional and manufactured fireplace units. Our work ensures efficient operation while maintaining aesthetic appeal and safety compliance.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
Our dryer vent cleaning removes hazardous lint buildup using specialized rotary tools and high-powered vacuums. The process includes exterior cap maintenance, animal guard installation, and airflow testing. Regular cleanings reduce fire risks, improve energy efficiency, and prevent mold growth from trapped moisture in residential dryer systems.
