Founded by Jesse Gillum as Gillum Plumbing, the company has undergone significant changes and growth over the years. In 1956, we moved to our iconic location on East Palmetto Street, a historic farmhouse built in 1910. Clark Waddell joined the team in 1954 as an apprentice and eventually became a co-owner in 1966, leading to the name Gillum-Waddell Plumbing, Inc. In 1980, the company was solely owned by Clark and Melba Waddell.
Thomas A. Knapp Jr. started his journey with Gillum-Waddell Plumbing as an apprentice in 1986, eventually becoming the Vice President and General Manager. In 2017, Thomas and his wife Sharon purchased the company, continuing our commitment to providing top-notch plumbing services. We moved to our current location at 2450 Commerce Point Drive in 1999, where we continue to serve our community with pride.
