Electricity & Lighting Inc. (Eli) was founded in 1992 by Phillip Mash Jr., a seasoned electrical expert with over 43 years of experience. Eli started as a small two-man operation and has since grown into a reputable business with a staff of over 40 electricians. Over the past 25 years, Eli has built a strong reputation for providing exceptional residential electrical construction services in the over-the-mountain area. In 2018, the management team expanded the business by launching Eli Services, a residential service division dedicated to offering unparalleled customer service and expert electrical solutions.

Eli is a family-owned and operated business led by Phillip Mash Jr., his son Phillip Mash III, and son-in-law Khristian McAlister. Phillip Mash Jr., President

Phillip Mash Jr., the founder and president of Eli, started the business in 1992 after years of experience in the electrical field. He instills the company's core values, setting the standard for excellence in every project. Phillip enjoys spending time with his wife and five grandchildren when not working.

Phillip Mash III, Vice-President

Phillip Mash III, joined the family business at a young age and worked his way up through the ranks. He earned a business degree in 2005, gaining valuable knowledge that helps drive the company's success. Phillip and his wife, Katie, have two young children and live in Vestavia Hills.

Khristian McAlister, Vice-President of Multi-Family Construction

Khristian McAlister, Phillip Mash Jr's son-in-law, proudly serves as the Vice-President of Multi-Family Construction. He graduated from Auburn University in 2002 with a Building Science degree and served as a Force Recon Team Leader in the Marine Corps before joining Eli in 2003. Khristian is still active in the Marine Corps Reserve.
