Brown Moving & Storage is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the South Florida community for over 90 years. Founded in 1925 by Richard R. Brown, Sr., the company has a rich history and a commitment to providing exceptional moving and storage services to its customers.
Our History
Richard R. Brown, Sr. founded Brown Moving & Storage in West Palm Beach in 1925, with just one truck and a vision to provide reliable and efficient moving services to the community. Over the years, the company grew and expanded, operating out of various offices and warehouses in West Palm Beach. In 1933, he joined Mayflower Van Lines, and in 1955, he served as president of the Mayflower Warehouseman Association. Today, Brown Moving & Storage operates independently, committed to providing the highest level of service to its customers.
Our Family Tradition
Brown Moving & Storage is a family-owned and operated business, with a third generation of family members actively involved in the company. Richard R. Brown, Jr. joined the company in 1944 and played a crucial role in the company's growth and development. In 1976, Ian Brown, a fourth-generation family member, joined the company and has been at the helm for over 31 years. Lisa Brown, a fourth-generation family member, joined the company in 2008 and serves as the company's Corporate Secretary.
